Sonoran Tutoring is proud to accept Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) funds. This page walks you through exactly how to use your ESA dollars for online K–5 tutoring with Julie — the easy way.
Book a Free Meet & Greet →The Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) program lets qualifying Arizona families redirect a portion of their state education funding toward approved private education expenses — including private school tuition, curriculum, therapies, and tutoring services like ours.
For the 2025–2026 school year, ESA funds can be used to pay for one-on-one tutoring with qualified educators. Sonoran Tutoring meets the program's requirements, which means you can use your ESA dollars to cover sessions with Julie.
If you're new to ESA or still deciding whether to apply, the official program lives at azed.gov/esa. We're not affiliated with the state — we're just a vendor that accepts ESA funds — but we're happy to answer practical questions on a free Meet & Greet call.
Once your ESA account is approved by the Arizona Department of Education, paying for tutoring is straightforward. Here's the typical flow:
No payment required. We'll talk about your child's needs, answer your ESA questions, and confirm we're a good fit.
After your free consultation, we email you an invoice for the tutoring sessions or package you've chosen. ESA-friendly format included.
Upload our invoice in your ClassWallet portal under "Tutoring Services." The Arizona DOE reviews and approves payment.
Once payment is processed, Julie schedules your child's first session. We can start within days, not weeks.
First time using ESA for tutoring? It can feel intimidating, but it's not. We'll walk you through ClassWallet on the Meet & Greet call if you'd like — share screen, point and click, done.
Through Sonoran Tutoring, ESA funds can cover:
The free Meet & Greet call itself doesn't cost anything and isn't billed to ESA — that's our gift to you for considering us.
No. You can book a free Meet & Greet whether or not you have ESA approval yet. If you'd like to use ESA funds for sessions, you'll need approval before the first paid session, but we're happy to talk first and help you decide whether to apply.
Invoice approvals through ClassWallet typically clear within 5–10 business days, though it varies. We'll start scheduling sessions as soon as payment is approved.
Both. Most ESA families prefer multi-session packages because it's a single invoice rather than weekly paperwork — easier on you and on us. We can structure a package around your goals and remaining ESA balance.
We size packages so this doesn't happen, and we'll always confirm available balance before invoicing. If your ESA quarter ends mid-engagement, we can pause sessions until the new quarter or transition to a private-pay arrangement — your choice.
Yes. ESA funds cover qualified tutoring services regardless of format. All Sonoran Tutoring sessions are online, and they're fully ESA-eligible.
